This extremely charming house was such a great way to spend Thanksgiving. The beds were soooo comfortable, the vintage accessories added charisma to this funky abode. The back yard was great as well. Such a great spot!

The only negative was the plane noise, but not a big deal! It was a lovely house and a fun area.

I stayed at Ariel's place with my adult children while visiting my SDSU student. While the location isn't exactly convenient to SDSU, it is near The 8, which gets you there easily. The house was great for us: The kitchen had everything we needed for family meals. We enjoyed the backyard throughout our visit. And we could walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach. As others have mentioned, there is plane noise most of the day as you are on the flight path to the airport, just a few miles away. But that is true of anywhere in the area--the downside of having an airport in the city, not far away. Would definitely stay again for future visits!

Very short and simple but amazing place to stay and would definitely return. Beautiful area and really nice decoration within the place itself. Really felt like home and had everything we needed!

Ariel has gone beyond the norm. The place was clean and cozy. The kitchen had a great retro look, it was well stocked with. colorful dishes. The beds were amazing and for me a plus was feather pillows. The fenced yard was a bonus, providing privacy.

This property was Perfect! The location was near so many restaurants, coffee shops and a super close drive to the Beach. The interior was clean and fully stocked. We are so excited we found this home to stay for our short trip to San Diego and will definitely return!

Great weekend get away. Pet friendly. Enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay in OB! The house is centrally located and it's a short walk to the main strips/businesses on Voltaire or Newport. It's also very near to the dog park and dog beach - which was great for us as our pup was with us and he's very active. He also loved lounging in the front yard and taking in the smells. The house is well-appointed with beautiful design and higher quality finishes. There is no a/c which was fine during our stay, there are lots of fans to open up windows and get some circulation going. Would love to stay again on our next visit!

We had a lovely stay, the house was perfect for us - stylishly decorated, great outdoor spaces, comfortable beds, and a good place to just relax in. It's well located for exploring Ocean Beach, and for getting to the beach, but also feels very private and tucked away in a nice neighbourhood. Ariel & Kimberly were both very helpful in terms of local tips and recommendations, which was appreciated. We'd definitely recommend this place and would love to be back one day.

we loved staying at this place. the Decor was exactly what my wife would like if we ever Re-did our home. it's cozy but has everything you need and packs a lot in the space. it's close to beaches and grocery. street parking was a little bit challenging but worked out every time.

Great place! Bed and shower were comfortable. Host was very responsive and attentive. It does get hot at night even with the windows open and fans on but the host did explain that in the listing. Overall it was a great stay.

We had the best time staying here. The area was safe and walkable. The space was quaint and homey. Sad to leave and would absolutely stay again in the future!

Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben, super ausgestattet. Sehr nützlich waren die Kühltasche und Strandtücher. Es war sehr gemütlich und charmant eingerichtet. Wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) haben uns hier 3 Wochen lang sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage war in einer super entspannten Gegend. Allerdings sollte man wissen, dass die Unterkunft hinter der Startbahn des Airports liegt und man wegen dem Fluglärm in der Nacht einen Gehörschutz tragen muss.

Exactly what we needed for our extended stay on the west coast! In a great neighborhood with a lot to walk to and the house itself was perfect- cozy, private, and had everything we needed. And Kimberly was always quick to respond. If we’re back in the area we would love to stay here again!

Kimberly's place is absolutely adorable! It is located in a residential area filled with sweet beach bungalows, and is walkable to the beach, restaurants, stores, dog beach, and all of the things that you might need! The outdoor spaces are key for sunny days and the yard is pretty and private. The second bedroom has a desk which was great for work calls and on-line meetings. People's Coop is very close and offers groceries and a deli. And there are coffee trucks and the cute TapShack right down the street. The location is close to downtown OB, but far enough that it is quiet and calm. We would definitely stay here again!

Since this is our second time staying in Kimberly’s home, it is starting to feel like our vacation house as well. First time it was me and my daughter and I was emptying my single mama nest at a local university. After the first night I was alone and bawling my eyes out so the surroundings were a comfort. The second time I brought my husband for family weekend at her college. I intentionally watched his face when he walked in the door and he was wowed. Later on, he said it was favorite AirBNB ever - and he travels extensively. We will be back!

We had an enchanting stay at this charming vacation home! Nestled in a fantastic location, it offered a serene, clean, and comfortable retreat. Kimberly, our host, was exceptional and made our short stay truly memorable. Although we were there for just a few days, we could have easily extended our visit to a week or more and still felt completely at home. The convenience of having most necessities within walking distance or a quick Uber ride was a huge plus. We highly recommend this place and look forward to staying here again on our next trip to San Diego.

We absolutely loved Kimberlys place. She has her own authentic style, which is cool vintage (if I try to describe it), just very lovely decorated. The location is great (but due to the nearby airport it is a bit loud at times). We didn’t have a car, but everything is also doable by foot and/or taxi/uber/lift. Wifi is good enough to work there (that’s what we did). Garden furniture could be a bit better, but we nevertheless enjoyed some afternoons in the garden. We would definitely go there again - thanks for everything Kim!

My husband and I loved this Airbnb. Check-in was a breeze, and it was clean, well-appointed, and adorably decorated. It’s near many local restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and down the street from Ocean Beach. One thing to mention is that it did get pretty hot with no AC in July, so we did use the provided fans to cool the place down. It’s a very quiet neighborhood so no problem opening a window or two for some fresh air. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Kim’s lovely home in Ocean Beach! It was perfect for our little family. Our 3-year-old absolutely adored all the beautiful plants and the spacious outdoor area where she could play and enjoy breakfast. We also loved walking to the beach every night to watch the sunset. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. Furnishings were great and exactly the vibe we were looking for. Although I was concerned about the lack of AC the entire space remained comfortable throughout our trip in late June with high temperatures in the 80s. About an 18 minute walk to the main street of restaurants rand the beach was no issue for us. Would absolutely come again!

Such a fabulous experience!! The property was GORGEOUS. I have a hard time adjusting to new spaces, but immediately felt at home. Size was perfect for my little family. Kimberly had provided all of the essentials, there were plenty of dishes, towels, soap, etc. and the beds and couches were SO comfy. Would love to come back soon!

This was our second stay at Kim's amazing little beach house. We've stayed elsewhere in Ocean Beach, and although the accommodations were nice, it just wasn't the same. It took me several days to figure out that it's because Kim's house isn't just a house: it's a home. It's cozy and comfortable in all the eclectic, personal ways your own home would be. We sincerely don't have a single complaint about the Lotus Street cottage. :-)

This was our second stay at Kimberly's place, and we hope to return again and again! It's cozy and comfortable, very clean and lovingly decorated. The kitchen is well-equipped. We appreciate the dining area and office space in addition to the living room and bedroom. And the location is great!

This is a lovely, very complete home in a delightful part of SD. Lots to do within walking distance-beach, bars, restaurants, and has an outstanding set-up for remote workers, with a second BR converted to an office that is primo for remote meetings.

Kim's home is in a great location (short walk to all of the hotspots near the beach and on Newport Ave). The front and back yards are a huge bonus - you very rarely get two yards to enjoy in OB. The home itself was gorgeous and comfortable. Kim was incredibly communicative and accommodating. We would eagerly rent from her again.

Kimberly was very kind, friendly and responsive within minutes. I very much enjoyed my stay, her home was clean, looked exactly as pictured and had everything needed. If staying in Ocean Beach I would 10/10 recommend!

Remote worker's paradise! One of the best office rooms I've seen, with fast Ethernet, high resolution monitor, and even a drawer with various gadgets and accessories. The rest of the house was also very well decorated and cozy. Being just a short walk from Voltaire street is amazing as well.

Great place in a great spot!

Kimberly’s place was in a great location between ocean beach and other sections of San Diego (everything was basically 15 minutes away). It was cozy and perfect for two people to stay at for the week.

We were very grateful to find such a quiet, cozy home away from home while in San Diego for a two week stay. Not only did Kimberly's home match the description and photos, she had also provided other amenities such as dry shampoo (a big deal for my wife), a scale, a filtered water pitcher, and a wide array of office supplies. My wife and I were in town for a medical procedure unavailable at home and Kimberly provided a wonderful place to rest during an otherwise stressful time for us. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again during return visits.

Kimberly was a great host, quick to respond and helpful when I had issues or questions. The house was very cute and home-y, location was amazing for Ocean Beach, plenty of close spots for food, etc.

Extremely homey, great selection of books and the decor touches were inspiring. We worked while we were here and the home office is extremely spacious. The OB location is great. Every day we started with cold brew coffee and iced matcha tea from Tap Shack, and then took a run on ocean beach. Make sure try the nearby Plant Power too, it blew our minds. All in all, we were very happy with our stay.

This is the spot if you’re looking for a walkable, relaxing, well equipped listing. Kimberly was incredible and went above and beyond giving me great recommendations for my first time in San Diego. I went to nearly all of them and they didn’t disappoint. Also a great office space and yoga mat handy to get some work and self-care prioritized. GREAT Airbnb. You can stop looking.

Great spot and such a lovely home for our stay in OB!

I very much enjoyed my ten day stay at this sweet home. It is in a great location about a mile from the beach, close to the airport, and downtown is about ten minutes away. The interior design is fun and made me feel at home. The place was really clean. The bed is comfortable, bath was great, and the outdoor spaces were a plus. I really appreciated Kim accommodating my needs to ensure I was able to stay at her special place. The only downsides were previously mentioned in other posts….noise pollution from airplanes flying overhead begins at 6:30am and ends at 11:30pm. The parking, especially in the evening/night, is not always available on the same block.

Thank you for offering your home to us. Kimberly is a very proactive and polite host. Her place was ideal; and has very nice touches. We had everything we needed for our stay. Her location is amazing. A quick walk to the beach, or just a block away from a journey to another stunning location.

This place was great. It made me want to move to Ocean beach. We rented cruiser bikes at TopJolt Cycle, which is nearby, and it made everything so enjoyable and easy to get to. It felt like summer and we were able to go to the beach every day using our bikes. Everyone here is so nice, it’s such a cute neighborhood. Tons of shops nearby and good restaurants. The house felt like home and had so much sunlight going into the kitchen and the backyard is super cute. We want to come back again.!

It is located within a private neighborhood yet within walking distance to many local restaurants, the beach, and public transportation. Our host was very friendly and responsive with questions. The location in Ocean Beach is great with lots of fun spots in the neighborhood and walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and the ocean. I loved Kimberly’s cottage in OB. It was just as described and pictured — perhaps even more spacious than I imagined. The space worked so well for our family of three and we loved the outdoor spaces. Most importantly, it felt homey, not soulless at all. One of my favorite Airbnb stays!

What a wonderful place to stay! Great location and the cottage is very attractive and well-equipped. Everything you could need and more. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom and kitchen. Roomy living/dining area. Many cute accessories, and a good selection of interesting books. We hope to be back!

Kim’s place is fantastic! It’s just as it looks online, and it’s quite a cozy and quiet house. The place feels quite homey and we loved that it was set up with everything you could need. The workspace was particularly helpful with working remote. It’s a short walk to a lot of coffee shops and restaurants, and a 15-20 minute walk to the beach/pier. Highly recommend!! The one thing I would note is that if you’re there for a long-term stay, the drawers are under the bed and the closet is open.

If they had a six star review… I cannot praise Kimberly or her property enough. I do a great deal of traveling around the country, and I can say without hesitation that this is one of the best properties, values and locations I’ve encountered. Quiet, clean, comfortable. Communication was wonderful and prompt, the property is much more than it looks like in the ads, and this is the perfect spot for a traveling couple or working single (I had to do some writing while I was here, and the peaceful, separate nicely appointed office was greatly appreciated). Especially liked the thoughtful, and subtly placed extras; every time I needed something, it was already there. Ocean Beach is a great community too! Just be prepared for the occasional airplane. Then again, all of OB is in the San Diego International flight path, but noise isn’t constant and I quickly got used to it. Will definitely be back! Thanks Kim!

Very cozy place to stay, we were here for 5 nights with an 18 month old, and the office made a great room for the baby to sleep in! Walking distance to Ocean Beach, Brighton Beach and Dog Beach. One downfall on the location is the constant and very loud sound of airplanes overhead, they don't fly between midnight and 6:30am though, but having some extra noise in the bedroom helps drown them out a bit. Parking can be hit or miss, most evenings we were able to find parking just down the street or right by the house, but a couple times we had to circle the block for quite a while to find a space. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need, beach towels provided, great outdoor space in the front and back. We absolutely loved our stay here, it felt like we were staying at a friend's house!

Kim’s place was absolutely amazing! Her house is exactly as shown - with thoughtful decorations throughout. She was always available if we had any questions and was very quick to respond. The location of her house is perfect, just a short walk from the beach! The neighborhood was very quiet, but yet, a quick walk to any and all bars/food you would need. I grew up in Pacific Beach and attended SDSU but have since moved hours away. As my daughter becomes an Aztec, I am so grateful to have had this peaceful space to relax with her, cook her favorite meals, and then cry into my scrambled eggs after moving her into her dorm. The vibe inside the cottage and in the neighborhood was laid back and easy. The sweetness and thoughtfulness you experience when communicating with Kimberly was evident everywhere in her home - from the amenities to the decor. As my bestie said when I showed her the interior design, it’s like someone looked inside my mind and decorated the home of my dreams. Made me want to redecorate - especially now that my nest is empty. Thank you for the healing respite, Kimberly.

Kim is a wonderful host, very communicative and pleasant. The location is great and a short walk to beaches and local cuisine and a short drive to everywhere else. The place is very clean and airy and is stocked with everything you will need. My wife and I stayed a month and worked remotely, and highly reccommed this place for any duration.

We loved Kimberly’s place. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy, and the location was in close proximity to the beach. We enjoyed the cute aesthetic and our toddler had plenty of space to play with her toys while mom and dad relaxed! Only downside was that close parking wasn’t readily available at all times - we had to park way down the street or the next street over a few times, but it wasn’t a big deal. We hope to stay again next summer!

The property had almost everything that we were looking for. It was close to the beach, close to good food and easy getting in and out. Parking was a little iffy at times as there is only street parking but it worked out. I got good at parallel parking! Our host was amazing. All the details were clear and ready in plenty of time. The property was amazing and private.

Great place

This spot is the best we could have asked for! We could walk everywhere - the beach, great restaurants, coffee and even an organic grocery store. We lived staying here and would stay again if we come back to San Diego

This is a great cottage with the perfect location. Walkable to all the spots in OB and Point Loma. The house is beautifully styled with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Don’t hesitate and just book this!

My 7 year old and I had a mommy and me weeklong trip and Kim’s place was perfect! I was also able to work remotely and her home had a full office setup! We felt at home it was cozy and not far from the beach! We will stay again! ❤️

We (a couple) had a wonderful five night stay at Kim’s place. It was plenty of space for two and could easily fit another couple friends or kids. We enjoyed the proximity to OB & restaurants in the neighborhood. The place had thoughtful touches, including beach towels and cute decor. Kim made check in super easy (and even accommodated us a little early following an early AM flight. I would recommend this place to anyone and would certainly see if it’s available next time we visit SD.
